As for the Merrem... I worked in the ER and I don't remember ever having these kinds of meds. We were always hanging fluids and pushing meds. Anything we reconstituted was usually given as an intramuscular injection. My husband, former-ICU-nurse-before-he-switched-to-the-paper-pushing-side-of-nursing, gave me a quick inservice and it was pretty much the way I thought it was going to work. The funny thing about the brain fog that I experience is that maybe, months from now, I'll look back at this and remember there were meds just like this that I used to give in the ER.
Several months from now, starting with this antibiotic infusion, I should see progress. It's possible I could notice a change much sooner. We'll see!
